About AHFED

AL- Hadeed Foundation for Economic Development is an association of iron and steel manufacturers in Iraq that was established in accordance with the Non-Governmental Organizations Law No. 12 of 2010 to work on the economic development of the iron and steel industry and diversify its products in a way that contributes to achieving self-sufficiency and ensuring production according to Iraqi and international specifications, preserving the environment and reducing emissions resulting from This industry and cooperation with governmental and non-governmental bodies to overcome the obstacles facing iron and steel factories in Iraq

More than 20 iron and steel factories are located under its umbrella in the governorates of Iraq and the Kurdistan region.

Our Objectives

Since its establishment, AL –Hadeed  Foundation for Economic Development has been seeking excellence and leadership in the field of iron and steel, encouraging local production, and achieving the most important strategic goals it has set, the most important of which are:

Working to develop the iron and steel industry in Iraq, diversifying its products and preserving the environment.
Exchanging experiences and information among members and training and qualifying cadres according to advanced training programs.
Cooperation with governmental and non-governmental bodies to overcome the obstacles facing iron and steel factories in Iraq that limit the development of this industry or hinder its work.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative relations with Arab and international organizations concerned with the iron and steel industry.
Issuing bulletins or magazines concerned with disseminating the organization’s objectives, cultural, social and economic activities and programs in order to raise community awareness in this field.
Continuous awareness of achieving the goals of sustainable development and preserving the environment.
